There is always something going on at The New Inn – of course it’s all presided over by “Captain ” the resident 40 year old Amazon Blue Parrot who welcomes guests with a cheery “Hello”.

Some of our most popular recent events have been: Hog Roast; Fish and Wine Week; Posh Pies Week; New Inn Pudding Fest; Local Bangers and Mash Week; Curries Week; and of course we always celebrate occasions like Valentines, Mothering Sunday and Easter Weekend and Bank Holidays with ‘specials’.

The live music evenings bring a range of themes, these have included a Jazz band bringing New Orleans flavour to The New Inn both on summer evenings in the garden and on chilly winter nights inside by the fire.

We are pleased to support local charities and good causes holding regular events which include our monthly Sunday Quiz Night.  We support our chosen charity for 12 months, with the aim of increasing the amount we are able to donate.  The ‘pot’ is then presented to the chosen charity at our annual charity evening.  If you would like to suggest a charity for us to support in the future please get in touch.
