Tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Coleford, sits a beautiful 700-year-old thatched tavern called The New Inn, waiting to soothe you into a slower, more relaxing pace during your stay.
With 7 delightful ensuite rooms, each tastefully decorated with quintessential English countryside charm, you will have no trouble finding a blissful night’s sleep at this Devon bed and breakfast. Our king-sized, pocket-sprung beds are draped with fresh crisp white linens each day and extra pillows are always available for the ultimate in luxury rest.
When you rise and welcome the morning light, we will be waiting in the restaurant to take your breakfast order. With the warmest of smiles we will offer you the finest, seasonal local produce, in our delicious cooked breakfasts, enough to fill you for a morning’s sightseeing.
Here in the heart of Devon, we are within easy distance of much of what this great county has to offer, so there will be plenty to see and do during your stay. We have picked a few of our favourites for you here.
At the end of your day don’t forget that we are here to welcome you into our Devon pub and dining room once more, where you will find the locals friendly and ‘Captain’ our cheeky Amazon Blue parrot on hand to say ‘Hello’.
What you can expect during your stay
- Rooms typically sleep 2 people, however, our triple room sleeps 3
- Comfortable King size, double and single beds
- Flat screen TV
- Extra-large fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries
- Tea and coffee making facilities
- Bottled water and sweet biscuits
- Wine and champagne available on request
- Our triple room also welcomes one well behaved dog
Breakfasts are served between 8am and 9:30am, however a continental breakfast can be served in your room if you’d like to enjoy some privacy.
Dining menus are available in the restaurant every evening between 6pm and 8pm. A limited menu will be offered on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings.
We also offer lunch menus between Wednesday and Friday at 12pm to 3pm, Saturday 12pm to 9pm and on Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.
