What’s on at The New Inn, Coleford

There is always something going on at The New Inn Coleford - of course it's all presided over by "CAPTAIN " the resident 27 year old AMAZON BLUE PARROT - well known locally and by travellers from Exeter and in fact all over the world. He greets visitors with a cheery "Hullo" and a farewell "Goodbye love, take care! " For our lucky residents arriving for a home-cooked breakfast , of course, it's "Good Morning "- probably in the hope that a little titbit of fresh fruit from the Servery might come his way!

Some of our most popular recent events have been "Fish and Wine Week" "Posh Pies Week" "New Inn Pudding Fest" "Local Bangers and Mash Week" "Curries Week" and of course we always celebrate occasions like Valentines, Burns Night, Mothering Sunday and Easter Weekend, Beaujolais Nouveau and Bank Holidays with specials.

Come and enjoy a HOG ROAST on the last Friday of every month between April and October, this culminates in the Halloween Special when the pub interior takes on the look of an eerie haunted castle and the staff and guests have fun dressing up as ghosts, vampires or witches.

The Live Jazz evenings with professional musicians have often brought a New Orleans flavour to The New Inn, both on summer evenings in the garden and on chilly winter nights inside by the log fire.

Charity starts at the pub! Our monthly Sunday Night Quiz night is well supported with local teams raising some money for charity and having a jolly good time too. The biggest charity donation is raised by the New Inn Christmas Raffle, which this year raised over £2,500 in the run up to Christmas.
